Since opening The Home Straight Enclosure in 2011 it has quickly grown to be one of the most popular locations on track. MPE is the sole provider of this area and with our partnership with the VRC has seen it grow and provide our clients with a wider range of corporate facility options. Both Derby and Melbourne Cup Days sell out well in advance and we recommend booking early.MPE are an accredited supplier of hospitality for the AFL Premiership Club, we provide premium hospitality & seating packages at AFL games, we are also an approved provider of ANZAC DAY hospitality & provide access to other national and international sporting and entertainment events.Let Mercury Principle Events “Put You In The Best Seats”My career in event management began in 1986 as a Sport & Recreation officer with Australian Post-Tel Institute (API), here I worked organising different sporting events for members in Victoria and interstate. During my time with API I undertook studying for my marketing degree as my responsibilities included production of the API magazine and setting up the member's referral service. In 1988 moved to Post Newspapers as General Manager and worked on the expansion from 3 to 5 suburban mastheads. I travelled in 1991 and in 1992 I began my own magazine company. Working as a publisher for Baird Publications in Melbourne in late 1992 the position of publisher then overseeing the expansion of their London office with the purchase of a number of UK publications. After returning to Australia I opened a Promotional Products company in late 1993 and an event management company in 1994 running trade shows and corporate events. During this time I also worked as motoring editor for Post Newspapers testing and reviewing all types vehicles and reporting on the motor industry.
