Manages a Branch Systems operation team consisting of Controls Systems Technicians. Assigns projects to Lead Systems Specialists and allocates appropriate resources (i.e. Systems Technicians and Electrical Installers) to those projects. Provides site coordination support on projects with high contract complexity to the Lead Systems Specialist as needed. Ensures work performed complies with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Adheres and ensures Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.

Responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including HVAC, fire, security, and other low voltage control sub-systems (e.g., lighting, energy monitoring, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the project requirements. Accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs. Develops complex software programs as well as performs commissioning and troubleshooting to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Provides detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team and subcontractors.

Under minimal direction, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, and installation, replacement of outdated equipment as well as commissioning of highly complex systems (including detailed troubleshooting). Recognized as the technical leader, coach and mentor in the local branch and area for the controls function. Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Provides consultant level services for the customer related to building automation systems and ensures ultimate customer satisfaction levels with assigned customers. Provides consultative services and recommendations for system improvements to customers. With a high level of complete technical competence, mentors lower level Controls Technicians and mechanical labor on building automation activities. Properly completes all required project and service documentation.

Under general supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of HVAC Automation Systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Mentors mechanical technicians on building automation activities. Properly completes required project and service documentation.

Inspecting and maintaining fire suppression equipment for oilfield, commercial and industrial facilities to ensure compliance to provincial and national safety standards. Providing mobile service to fire suppression equipment at oil and gas facilities in remote locations as well as large plant environments.
