Senior Project Manager responsible for the delivery of projects and the managment of projects from project concept to fiscal closeout. Currently this includes 65+ projects

Assist in overseeing a workforce of 99 people, provide technical guidance for the different maintenance work groups, assist in managing an annual budget of approximately $17.0 million, deal with hiring of individuals and contractors. Review plans and projects to ensure that the maintenance needs are met. Complete multiple performance plans and deal with corrective action issues. Develop long-term goals for the Region maintenance group. Oversee the equipment management in the Region. Serve as the Chairman of the Region Three Transportation Technician Peer Review Board.

Over saw a work force of 7-14 people. Managed numerous construction contracts with an annual average of between $15-25 million. Dealt with multiple technical, materials and construction management issues as it related to the completion of the projects. Ensured that materials met specifications. Developed skills in project scheduling and schedule analysis. Held meetings with the public, governmental entities and the contractor to resolve concerns and answer questions.

Served as chairman of the Region pavement management team. Developed all pavement designs for Region projects. Reviewed and approved all local government and consultant pavement management designs. Developed pavement structure alternatives for all projects and then selected best alternative based on scope and budget. Developed the initial pavement management system in Region Three including pavement data, dROADS and dTIMS. Assisted in writing the pavement design portion of the UDOT manual of instruction, part 8.

Coordinated the traffic control designs and sign designs on various projects in the Region. Conducted and coordinated various traffic studies including signal warrant, speed studies, LOS, school pedestrian crossings, etc. Coordinated and oversaw the signal maintenance and timing coordination plans on various Region systems. Worked with Provo City and Orem City to implement their signal interconnect systems. Communicated, both written and verbal, with the public and governmental agencies and acted as liaison for the Region at various public, MPO and governmental meetings.

As acting project engineer oversaw personnel assigned to the crew and completed performance evaluations. Oversaw and managed the construction of various projects. Oversaw and managed numerous consultant services contracts for local governments. As field engineer provided technical guidance to the crew technicians. Wrote correspondence, change orders and completed performance evaluations.

Rotated through the majority of the divisions at the UDOT complex and in Region 2 Construction

Worked as an intern in the Richfield District in both construction and maintenance. Returned to finish my senior year of college from September 1988 to May 1989
