I’m a biomedical engineering graduate from Florida International University with a focus on optical imaging modalities. I was a research intern in the Optical Imaging Laboratory, where I mainly worked with near-infrared spectroscopy, specifically with developing segmentation and contrast methods of wound images on Matlab. Furthermore, I have a solid grasp on cardiobiomechanics and have applied this knowledge to my senior design project, a vessel preservation system. I partly designed and fully modeled the vessel preservation system in addition to performing stress tests on its components with SolidWorks. Per my project, I’ve gained extensive insight of the complexities of FDA regulations, all the while, learning how to navigate the patenting process.In addition to my engineering aptitude, I have a broad range of interests. I’ve self-employed as a day trader, in which I mainly focus on predicting trends in volatile stocks listed on the NASDAQ and NYSE indices. I also have extensive experience tutoring middle school and high school students along with college level undergraduates with On Point Tutoring. My role in OPT extends beyond that of a tutor as I have been delegated managerial duties which include developing recruitment strategies and forming connections with private and public schools.
