Operations Manager
Current• Oversee and manage all daily activities of the company, including: sales, quoting, dispatch, service, customer service, accounting, human resources, supply chain and transportation areas• Manage hiring, discipline, termination and performance reviews of all personnel• Develop all standardized operating procedures, documents, and work instructions required to run daily operations; placed them in a central location and initiated the training required to put them into place, helping to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations and efficient use of personnel• Begin weekly operations meetings to open channels of communication and to create transparency between departments which allows for more participation from the employees and for the company to review KPI data and to create goals for upcoming deadlines• Introduce continuous improvement methodology throughout the organization, which includes reviewing data to find ways to reduce costs and to increase growth and profitability, allowing better customer service and lower operational costs• Originate an inventory control system involving the creation of an inventory data base, cycle counting and reduction and consolidation of vendors, lowering inventory levels and reducing costs by 73%• Participate in all capital expenditure projects, such as the implementing a robust CRM (Service Fusion) and replacing the current aging business process management system (Tigerpaw). Responsibilities include set-up of data, training of personnel and launch of the software which allows effective solutions to streamline operations and to boost growth potential• Design and implement a safety program for the company• Research and make recommendations to the president for programs to improve operations.
