Enterprise SW Engineering Lead - work with Program Managers and the Functional Homeroom to ensure appropriate software staffing for all program projects, provide process improvements to the Software Development and Test Plans; Technical Review Board member responsible for reviewing technical packages which may affect the platform to ensure in line with Enterprise process, metrics, initiatives; interact with other Engineering disciplines to ensure horizontal technical integration; created a Software Proposal Review Board to ensure consistent and thorough bids.

Systems Engineering Integration Team Lead – led cross-discipline team for a form, fit, function display upgrade program; provided technical oversight as the engineering lead for Vehicle, Avionics, Systems, Software and Test Engineers; led team of Northrop Grumman and supplier engineers in root cause analysis and resolution of several critical hardware and software defects including pilot-vehicle interface modifications and requirements updates; completed successful software and functional readiness reviews and supplier preliminary design reviews; coordinated technical change packages for technical review board briefings to the chief engineer; briefed engineering status including metrics, technical performance measures, change packages to both Program Management and the customer on a weekly cadence while working closely with my government engineering counterpart to brief status and set priorities.

Software Integrated Program Team Lead – led multi-site software team for an avionics and displays hardware and software upgrade program - including onboard flight programs, desktop simulation software development, testing and integration; interfaced with the SPO software lead weekly for status and monthly for sprint reviews; automated EV reporting shortening the 2-to-3-hour manual process each month into a 5-minute process using Excel to gather data from Jira and IMS spreadsheets to calculate percent complete for monthly reporting; led a cross-discipline team documenting issues discovered during the program that led to significant challenges in execution; wrote a white paper that was submitted to the sector vice president which became the basis for a rapid deployment initiative for the Vehicle and Management System IPT led by the Software Director.

Software Test Lead - led team of up to 60 Software Test Engineers at 3 sites developing automated test procedures for an integrated cockpit display modernization program; drove several major initiatives that include finding/fixing issues with existing tests so they could be used in a fully automated test run, developing new test procedures, automating testing with Bamboo for nightly runs, getting labs configured to execute fully automated test runs, developing automated metrics; improved team progress by developing a new story volatility metric to track sprint performance to highlight issues preventing the team from completing planned work; developed and documented a new process for formal qualification testing at the software requirement level being performed for the first time by the Software organization; successfully led the team that developed and briefed the first ever Software Quality Readiness Review for the program where we repeatedly executed ~300K test points via automated testing.Functional Manager – In this is a dual role position consisting of 85% technical duties and 15% functional duties such as mentoring and career development, performance reviews, compensation planning; responsible for team rehosting a MIL-STD-1553 Bus Controller using C and INTEGRITY; developed a new OFP software architecture, documented using UML, with a focus on data protection and functional cohesion providing capability to test at every boundary whether at the unit, component or application level using Google Test and our proprietary Desktop Simulation suite by using an auto-generated message handling component. This application was the first OFP to make use of repeatable unit testing via Google Test; developed and enforced coding standards, managed the Git repo; led sprint demos; supported the Software IPT as Designee in their absence; provided support for daily release meetings, weekly customer meetings, release planning meetings, and Program Management Reviews.

Infrastructure Lead - Led team of up to 30 embedded software engineers designing and developing embedded infrastructure software for multiple avionics upgrade programs; worked closely with the System Architects, System Engineers, Requirement Engineers, Integration Engineers, Test Engineers and Hardware and Software suppliers; maintained API documentation; performed maintenance of secondary flight instrument and tactical awareness displays using VAPS, VxWorks and Tornado; performed maintenance on the Flight Management Operational Flight Program; developed an embedded virtual file system with an extensible architecture; designed and developed a rate monotonic task scheduler to be used by the infrastructure clients to simplify system synchronization; designed and developed a communications message broker to bridge ASM over Fibre Channel to Ethernet using RTI Connext DDS; developed a split message broker architecture to allow the program to continue as the host hardware did not have a Fibre Channel interface; developed a data model to characterize network performance; helped to launch an Agile pilot program to evaluate use of various Agile techniques to use within our existing software engineering process; wrote Python scripts to automate portions of the loading of software and firmware in our engineering development hardware units.Software Sustainment IPT (Acting) - supported the Software Director in the execution of the software sustainment contracts, joint program reviews, and proposals, and coordination with the government software leadership and engineering staff; worked with the Product Owners developing staffing plans and providing technical direction; led multiple initiatives that included process improvements including using modern source control tools and updating processes to do build checkouts on test servers.

Implemented and maintained lab tools software in C#; project lead for software maintenance contract; worked with Systems and Software Engineers to gather requirements for tools to post-process lab data. Designed Collected status, reported Earned Value, generated task assessments to forecast budget and heads on board for the next year.
