I am an O&M contract manager working for Northern Management Services Inc. I currently manage the O&M contracts in Federal Government buildings (courthouses, office buildings, LPOE border stations, etc.) from Washington DC to Alaska. I am a licensed mechanical engineer in Alaska and have been certified as a commissioning agent (CxA), and as a building energy assessment professional (ASHRAE BEAP). My commissioning experience is primarily in health care and medical facilities while my engineering background is primarily in commercial building mechanical, plumbing and DDC systems. In February 2017 I was privileged to work in Antarctica at the McMurdo station and at the South Pole station as part of an inspection team where I commissioned the DDC system in the Cleary Lab and inspected the many of the facilities at both stations.I graduated from the University of Utah in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). After graduation I started working as a control systems engineer and was later hired by Colvin Engineering to help design the Novell corporate headquarters as a mechanical designer. I spent the first part of my career working as a controls systems engineer and the remainder as a mechanical engineer, commissioning agent, and contract manager. I have worked with a variety of clients from the Federal government, Borough/county governments, hospitals, and private corporations performing engineering services such as mechanical design, building inspections, design build/retrofit, commissioning and project management.
