I wrote my first eleven bedtime storybooks, Adventures at Applebyhouse. These books, complete with my own illustrations, inspired me towrite my first book of magical wonder. A witch in time saves nine. Ifelt so passionate about writing these books that before I knew it, Ihad written a series of ten books that unfold into one long, overalladventure.After selling over 4,000 Molly Perkins books in Asda stores and schoolsall over the country (financed from my own pocket). I am hoping theseMolly Perkins books will inspire other people to write too, becausewriting for me has changed my life. I feel greatly honoured receivingfan letters from children and adults of all ages. Some of the lettersbrought tears to my eyes. When anyone takes the time to sit downand write to me expressing a passion to write a book, then I knowI have reached their heart.Following the Molly Perkins series, I am currently working on a newbook with new characters, which is a powerful story about bullying. Itis about a ten-year-old boy who has watched his life go from bad toworse and of a girl who is a similar age. She believes her life hasbeen snatched from her, but then their paths cross. He believes she isa ghost, but she is a living young girl who is in fact in a coma. Heconfides in her, and together they both come through their ordeals. Ibelieve it is a truly moving story of mixed emotions that will provoketears one minute and laughter the next.
