I'm a retired physician. When I was in active practice my approach was based on the mind-brain-body concept now called integrative medicine. It was practiced quietly by those who adopted this approach to medicine as western medicine is drug oriented in the accepted way of practicing for fear of being attacked by the colleges and regulatory authorities.I have practiced hypnotherapy in my practice for over fifty years and still enjoy helping people to be the best version of themselves possible. I am in awe of the power of the mind to create incredible changes and the application of hypnotherapy is completely safe. I have written six books on hypnosis and hypnotherapy five are already published on Amazon the sixth is being tested for effectiveness. I have recently been an invited speaker at a worldwide conference on hypnotherapy and received rave reviews for my presentation. I am thrilled to see the move in medicine back to the philosophy of Hippocrates albeit a slow journey. The practice of medicine requires that the physician considers the whole person and not just the focal part that is the presenting symptom part. Treating cause not symptoms is the goal.
