CurrentManaged two teams concurrently with a mission to improve the supportability of all of Tableau Software’s products, developing each team into a center of excellence for their particular missions, built up the vision for expanding each team's services and scope, managed and curated their backlogs, defined governance for all their data, drove engineering excellence and process improvements, and successfully led the teams to high output in spite of a fully remote workforce.The Product Supportability team develops libraries and frameworks to capture crash dumps and log files in all Tableau products, frameworks for easy to use error codes, error dialogs that help customers get contextually relevant support with one click, and other features to identify problems and handle problem artifacts to send home for analysis and troubleshooting to reduce time to resolution of customer issues.The Customer Data Platform team develops a scalable, robust, highly available pipeline for crash dumps and product logs and processing services to analyze these support artifacts and make them available to Tableau's support teams and software engineers as they solve customer problems and fix product bugs. Developers supporting the Tableau Online environment can see, within minutes, the file, code line number, and count, of all Tableau process crashes.Managed the migration of Tableau's entire customer data pipeline from an on-premise data center to AWS public cloud, delivering scalability, availability, reliability, and push-button serviceability ahead of schedule, and managed the replication of the crash reporting and processing pipeline in GovCloud for Tableau Online's expansion into new cloud environments.
