I've been a guitar player since my early teens and have gigged extensively throughout the UK, Ireland and parts of the U.S.A. where I lived for fourteen years. My first band, The Tearjerkers, were signed to Phonogram and we toured with Thin Lizzy, Doll by Doll and Dexy's Midnight Runners and recorded with a number of high profile producers such as John Astley, Phil Chapman, Laurence Juber and Chris Hughes. Upon meeting Jim Lyttle at one of our auditions, I left the band and went to London where I played in an early incarnation of the band that became "Rogue Male" and we recorded demo's that were produced by Jimmy Bain (Dio, Wild Horses, Rainbow) who also played bass on a couple of the tracks. Subsequently, I played guitar on Irish singer, Deidre Cunningham's album "Sunny Days" and American singer Jon Lacabanne's album "Amen" and returned to the UK where I got the job as guitar player with Sweet (Brian Connolly's band). I played all the guitars on Emmajane's "Red Shoes" CD and co-wrote the track "Draining me dry" with her. I wrote the track, "This is Life" that was recorded by the Lynsey Dolan Band and co-wrote "Do Right Man" that appears on the "Jock's Juke Joint Volume 2" CD. I'm currently rehearsing a new line-up of my blues band, The Brian Rawson Band, and have recorded a full-length CD of original songs, which is scheduled for a late summer release in 2022.
