Security Control Assessor Representative and Cyber Security Analyst

Provide analysis, technical briefings, evaluations, recommendations, training, and prototypes to complement the Government's technical and engineering expertise in support of Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) cryptographic modernization engineering services for National and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communication (NC2/3) Systems to include both space and cyber assets.Provide subject matter expertise with DoD information assurance (IA) compliance assessment tools and procedures and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). Conduct analysis and risk assessment procedures on cyber security capabilities to provide clients with solutions for enhancing cyber risk awareness and support senior level accreditation/authorization decisions. Consult headquarters level decision makers on the technical implementation of solutions for promoting the sustainment of cyber security across multiple technology areas.

Responsible for employing Cyberspace Defense oversight for the Air Force Integrated Network (AFIN). Maintain a vigilant watch over external and internal data traffic for over 50+ US Air Force Base’s and installations. Directing incident response actions to investigating nefarious network activity, researching and making recommendations for effective mitigation of external threats, to include the utilization of Boundary Protection devices and to advise on the utilization of tools and procedures in order to sustain information security, integrity, and availability.

Supervised 11 personnel in the daily administration and trouble shooting of 136 computer systems, to include but not limited to, LAN/WAN, network maintenance and file space management. Developed database for tracking, issuing, and maintaining accountability of 180 SIPRNET PKI Tokens for users, qualified and designated as Trusted Agent for issuing SIPRENT PKI Tokens. Responsible for CSFTP's Automated Information Systems (AIS) network security program, tracking, processing and reporting over 120 Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA). As a program manager leading two sites in the management, implementation and compliance of 285 vulnerability alerts, bulletins and technical advisories. Diligent efforts protected over 4,000 mission critical assets across three networks NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS resulting in minimal exploitation. Conducted Certification and Accreditation surveys on the Navy and Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI), for recertification of Authority to Operate on Unclassified and Classified networks. Provide Tier I/II basic technical support to 70 Staff personnel for all Information Systems related issues.

Supervised and trained 60 Information Management Officers. Advised 20 units operating with INFOSEC, ensuring compliance with all governing DoD directives and instructions. Managed nine servers, 3,018 user work stations, 1,006 user accounts across NIPRNET, SIPRNET, NATO Unclassified and CENTRIX networks. Implemented and organized the CJTF Paladin Forward in Kabul, Afghanistan for 20 Joint Coalition Force personnel that included highly sensitive equipment valued at $5M. Directed daily operations of the department, analyzed workflow, established priorities, developed standard operating procedures (SOP) and set deadlines for unit expansion projects, resulting in on time completion.

Information Management Support Officer (IMSO)/ Communications Information Systems(CIS) Support Officer, responsible for project and plans management of all CIS related equipment for NCSA Sector Naples and JFC area Commands. Project Manager for the reorganization of the communications center at Allied Maritime Component Command Headquarters, Nisida, Italy. Issued 20 new computers, and installed a upgraded telecommunications suite, improving the overall voice and data capabilities. Trained four system engineers. Validated 820 customer requests, 94 percent including user accounts, access permissions, and voice capabilities improving the organizations functionality.

Maintaining voice and data communications for surface and shore commands in the Persian Gulf AOR.

Ensuring all voice and data communications were operational and available at all times. Maintaining the integrity of the network and its availability.

My responsibilities include; providing superb customer service for voice and data communications for all submarines, ships, and military installations within the Puget Sound AOR.
