Manage team of 50 Engineers providing MRB support for Avionics/Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, and Flight Test including the cross-disciplinary Flight Team that supports repair & systems troubleshooting for all large cabin flying aircraft in production and completions across Gulfstream. Also, manage the Data Analytics, Budgeting & Continuous Improvement efforts for the MRB Engineering groups directly responsible for over $2M in vetted/documented savings in the last 2 years.

- Designated as Production Engineering Continuous Improvement (CI) lead since 2015 & MRB CI focal since 2013. Individually selected for the Gulfstream Continuous Improvement Symposium 3 consecutive years (2013 to 2015).- Received Lean Pinnacle Award & received vetted CI savings credit of over $400k in last 2.5 yrs - all based on software tools (Python, Javascript/JQuery, VBA) for automation, custom text-based search engines, & data entry.- Created, Implemented, & Maintain Web-based Production Engineering KnowledgeBase, Kiosk, and document search tools totaling over 2000 unique users across company and > 15k monthly searches across engineering & operations.- Represented Engineering group for Sharepoint migration, Engineering-wide Knowledge management development, and Windows 7 implementation.- Hold MRB structures approval signature authority for all current Gulfstream models. Worked on all major programs at Gulfstream as Structures MRB Engineer.

Designed & built tooling and automation equipment for clients in manufacturing and aerospace (SolidWorks). Led all technical development for full system integration services including Allen Bradley PLC programming, Cognex vision system, and multi-axis servo controllers. Provided clients with clean-sheet design & complete manufacture of specialized equipment developed for their specific manufacturing challenge. Led team of 3 Engineers and 7 machinists/technicians with in-house CNC machining (Haas VF-3YT & SL-10 Lathe), MIG/TIG welding, and plasma cutting capabilities. Handled sales and all executive functions of the business and negotiated the sale of the company to Atlanta Aerospace Machine in October 2007. Also provided Engineering consulting services (Tooling design, repair design & interior furnishings design) for Delta Airlines & Timco.Notable Projects:- Automated Plate Mounting System. Designed & built 5-axis machine to automatically mount high-speed printing plates to the printing drums. Machine integrated Allen Bradley controllers with Cognex vision system to rotate, align & mount plates to the drums without user intervention.- Large Engine Cylinder Head inverting tool. Designed & built tool to automatically pick up cylinder head on assembly line & invert to allow remaining assembly steps. Required integration of hydraulic & pneumatic actuators and PLC controllers. Similar projects completed for Yanmar Diesel and Caterpillar.

Designed and provided repair instructions for damaged aircraft structure. Provided near real-time repair disposition to aircraft maintenance technicians to prevent costly flight delays or cancellations. Provided full static stress analysis reports for all repairs as required. Provided off-shift Liaison assistance for aircraft mechanical systems. Developed software application specific macros, batch programs, and a compact webpage to improve department-wide efficiency in the time-critical retrieval of engineering data. Structures Liaison Lead on project to replace aging Horizontal Stabilizer Attach lug bushings across fleet of 20+ 737-200/-300 aircraft driven by FAA Airworthiness directive.

Graduate research assistant developing advanced Multi-objective Genetic Algorithms (C language) for application to high-power electronics packaging design optimization funded by US Office of Naval Research. Provided primary project management duties for group of 4 research assistants. Work culminated in advancing the technology (optimizing for size, durability, cost) for modular high-power electronics to be used in ships by the US Navy. Worked 1.5 years as full-time (no classes) and 9 months halftime.

Developed test setup for semiconductor surface mounting connection integrity inspection using labview, and Keithly switching matrix. Wrote full test program in Labview that would test hundreds of connections in seconds and exported data automatically to CSV format. Operated ultrasonic scanning machine to test for solder voids in semiconductor solder connections. Worked under Dr. Daniel Baldwin.

Developed prototype of experimental setup to test pulp & paper mixing enhancement using ultrasonic transducers. Developed control software in C to activate transducers.
