With Raft I worked on a contract supporting mission critical applications used by software engineering teams across multiple branches of the US government.

As a member of the Cloud Operations team with KNIME, I work to build a rich, scalable, infrastructure and application stack designed to be easily deployed to a range of Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, and on-prem and even air-gapped environments using Helm, Kots and Replicated. I also maintain and improve KNIMEs community hub platform through software releases, infrastructure upgrades, troubleshooting, and direct support to enterprise customers with their product deployments. I work closely with DevOps to ensure software and infrastructure releases are as automated and seamless as possible.

Senior member of a small team of engineers working to modernize aging infrastructure by building out new infrastructure in the cloud using. I worked to establish best practices and a pattern for deploying new services into Microsoft Azure with a focus on high availability, visibility and security. The solutions my team and I developed support services for this popular mobile gaming company that receive tens of millions of requests per day from around the world.

As an engineer at Drud, I worked closely with the product architect to design the infrastructure and build a scalable monitoring and alerting solution for a new hosting platform built on Googles Kubernetes Engine, while collaborating with other engineers in daily meetings, code reviews and sprint planning. I also performed Ops duties to maintain and improve an existing platform and customer base on AWS. This was a small, fast-paced team working with a number of bleeding-edge technologies against tight investor deadlines. My time at Drud was a unique and challenging experience for me, and I learned quite a bit in a short period of time.

Senior member of an exceptional team responsible for monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, and scaling two distinct cloud hosting products; Cloud Sites and Managed Wordpress. These platforms are home to thousands of customers, hundreds of thousands of websites, visited by millions of users every day. As part of the platform operations team, I was responsible for ensuring uptime through monitoring, diagnosing complex issues, release deployment, documenting as well as building tools to automate and empower our support teams.

With Rackspace, I started in a support administrator role and worked my way to an engineering position on a team responsible for maintaining, monitoring and developing a complex hosting infrastructure that supports more than 200,000 websites.

Designed and implemented web sites and CMS based web applications (Wordpress, Joomla, Elg, OSCommerce, Expression Engine) for a variety of clients.

Produced logos, brochures, business cards, trade show collateral and managed company image in addition to building and maintaining web presence (blog, eCommerce, community) for this start up software development company ( specializing in high performance video encoding/transcoding).

Started as an intern working with a team of designers, developers on learning management (LMS) applications for large organizations like SBC, DOD, The US Airforce and more. After my 120 hour internship, I was hired on as a multimedia designer doing graphics creation, interface design, Flash development to build course modules for clients.
