Mr. Robillard graduated from the University of Michigan in May 1998 with a B.A. in History. He received his J.D. degree from Wayne State Law School in May 2001, and was admitted to the Michigan bar in November 2001. Mr. Robillard began his career as an associate attorney at the Auto Club's house counsel in Detroit, where he defended first-party no-fault lawsuits as well as third-party auto negligence lawsuits. Mr. Robillard also pursued subrogation claims on behalf of the Auto Club, and was involved in the defense of no-fault lawsuits involving fraud (including pre-litigation examinations under oath). Mr. Robillard left the Auto Club in October 2008 to join the Law Offices of Ronald M. Sangster, where he continued to defend first-party no-fault lawsuits, including claims made through the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan. He expanded his involvement in the defense of no-fault lawsuits involving fraud, (including claims made by providers) and also started defending homeowner property lawsuits (including pre-litigation examinations under oath). Mr. Robillard was named a "Rising Star" by Michigan Super Lawyers in 2011. Mr. Robillard started Robillard & Petrosky, PLLC in January 2014, where he continues to defend first-party no-fault lawsuits (including provider claims and claims made through the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan), third-party auto negligence lawsuits, and no-fault lawsuits involving fraud (including pre-litigation examinations under oath). Mr. Robillard was a featured speaker at ICLE's first "No-Fault Summit" in April 2014, where he spoke about conducting effective discovery during litigation.As of April 1, 2015, Mr. Robillard is the owner of The Law Offices of Brian A. Robillard, PLLC. His practice still focuses on insurance defense.
