Create long-term research priorities, programs, and objectives. Prepare research materials for presentation and publication, as well as technical articles. Examine, dissect, and assess how policies, regulations, and legislation are influencing the state of research today. Give students and research support personnel technical guidance on research methodology and approaches. Organize the creation of projects that are sponsored by grants. Organize the planning, instrumentation, statistical analysis, reporting, and/or design of the project.Demonstrate strong communication and analytical abilities. An extensive knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures, in addition to the ability to execute projects involving research. To optimize performance on research trial activities, establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, university colleagues, and growers/producers. Prepare manuscripts for technical journal publication. Participate in scientific meetings while supplying local and statewide stakeholders with industry updates.
