I have over 20 years of experience working in sales and business development. I work currently in the Healthtech industry, at a startup called AireHealth, in a business development role. I've been put to work in a variety of ways and learned new skills (as is always the case when the team is lean and the workload is big) that have made me sharper in my pursuit of the deal. I've had the privilege to own my own successful businesses in retail and e-commerce, even services and all the while have remained a real estate agent and when the market is right - real estate investor. Why this mixture of roles and hats - sometimes simultaneously? First of all - I have copious amounts of energy (in my spare time I am an adventure racer and ultra marathoner) and second, I thrive on building interpersonal relationships. The common thread across my career is a drive toward generating business and making the sell. I have all those valuable revenue generating skill sets we need in this profession fine-tuned:I build credibility for the Company (and the solution)...I build the story - deliver the experience...I sell benefits, not features...I sell to the people most likely to buy...I show the value in the product I'm promoting / selling...I build rapport...I ask a broad range of probing questions...I ask for the business.
