Aid in audit remediation for DHS component for both financial and IT processes. Also, preparing planning documents, reviewing and documenting adequacy of documents received from clients, identifying completed populations for sampling.- Analyze internal controls to gain an understand and evaluate the identified deficiencies in the system(s)/application(s), including the root causes, security risks, magnitude/impact to the financial statements audit, uniqueness of deficiencies.- Review and evaluate the remediation action/documentation to ensure it meets the identified NIST criteria and other laws, regulations, and policies.- Identify findings from Financial Audits, A¬123 Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Effectiveness (TOE) results, IPERA results, and Audit Readiness Review and makes recommendations to management and high level officials to correct deficiencies.- Obtain working knowledge of systems infrastructure and operations and/or financial management systems- Train staff of 2-3 auditors during client site visits. - Perform cycle-level understanding procedures, such as leading understanding meetings and walkthroughs, creating cycle memorandums, creating Account Risk Analyses (ARA) and Specific Control Evaluations (SCE), preparing inherent risk assessments, and documenting walkthrough information.- Draft Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) to Management to present findings identified through testwork.- Complete wrap-up of audit, such as summarizing and drafting audit results, leading exit conferences, completing AICPA checklists and drafting audit reports- Review contractor incurred cost submissions and ensure all costs submitted to US Government for reimbursement were reasonable, allocable and allowable, and in compliance with applicable requirements contained in the FAR, contract and DCAA
