Have worked at JoAnn stores for 20+ years after being a retail manager for 10+ years. I started my JoAnn journey in DC operational management before transitioning into IE work (starting with the development of labor standards-time and motion studies). Along the way I developed database monitoring and communication tools to report on DC operations and to institute performance management supporting the labor standards that I developed. I have relocated and worked at all JoAnn distribution sites and continue to find ways to improve communication and develop new processes to increase output and better service our stores. As a result of my knowledge of DC operations, I was asked to design, plan and coordinate with internal and external entities an online distribution facility in operation in Columbus OH. Included in this project was creating an efficient racking layout, planning the office workspace, space planning and cost benefit analysis. In addition, I have been a lead with the implementation of SAP EWM (WMS) in all 4 JoAnn distribution centers. Coordination and collaboration has been the key.
