About Brian Sakai

I left my Silicon Valley career in 2010 to support a project on math training for students interested in the STEM fields. The project is looking for an angel investor to extend the project’s principles through an app that will fix the inadequate math preparation in our students as well as adult workers in our entire workforce. The project provides a solution that quickly addresses the math issues our schools, tech companies, our military and government agencies have that prevents the full utilization of the capabilities of our US students and workforce. The project has a 10 year history of success, offered as a summer boot-camp, successfully bridged gaps in elementary through college students' math backgrounds enabling their success in traditional math curriculum. It literally teaches the Keys to Math (KTM).In order to test the on-line version’s effectiveness in conveying the KTM principles, I've been actively tutoring dozens of students in mathematics at all levels across the nation and Canada. I’ve used distance learning technologies to conduct highly effective training. Additionally, I've added certification as a Kaplan SAT trainer; KTM has also been effective in my approach to teaching Kaplan methods. My experiences include my work at large companies such as HP and Cisco Systems, as well as start-ups such as Fluence and WebMD. I also produced the IEEE Software Productivity standard 1045-1992.Specialties: Management of software quality teamManagement of corporate technical training teamSoftware metricsKaplan SAT prep trainerDistant learningTraining in both education and corporate settingshttps://www.dropbox.com/home/KEY%20MATH-private/KTM%20Video%20Intro%20%26%20Team%20Bio%202021
