Live Musician
CurrentI graduated from James Madison University during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, and it was hard to find work. It was inherent that I rely on my creativity, adapt, and find opportunities that others might miss. During the lock down I created my own work, and took odd jobs mixing and mastering music. After the mandate was lifted I began my own marketing and public relations campaign through outreach and cold calling. I reached out to every venue in Virginia with live music. Through my efforts, I found a booking agent who then helped me secure gigs at wineries, breweries, bars, restaurants, and even private events. This experience not only strengthened my performance skills, but also improved my management, coordination, and people skills tenfold. In a world that has become more isolated than ever, I believe these are powerful skills that I will continue to master.
