I am a highly accomplished and motivated IT professional with over 20 years experience working primarily in the construction industry. Initially working in this field as an IT contractor providing project development management and consultancy services to a number of the UK’s largest constructing companies to implement, enhance and produce bespoke integrated solutions and interfaces for a leading ERP product and its associated Informix/Oracle databases. My specialism is in RDBMS and ERP finance systems with an in depth knowledge of accounting principles, data management and reporting concepts. This is complimented by skill sets in both UNIX and Windows based toolsets including extensive experience of shell scripting, AWK, SQL, Microsoft VBA and Microsoft Visual Basic .NET.In recent years, having joined Mansell Construction Services Ltd in 2010, a UK leading construction company within the Balfour Beatty group with a turnover of 750M – 1B, I undertook the role of Finance Systems Manager having responsibility of looking after all aspects of the companies finance systems ensuring business functionality, legislative compliance and best practices were adhered to. Working closely with the business functional streams during this time to produce a number of integrated solutions, in a rapid deployment environment, ensuring at all times that data was utilised in a secure manner to provide both business critical reporting and integrated solutions.Since September 2012 I have actively been involved in one of the UK’s largest data migration programmes taking the seconded role of Data Migration Lead across 6 companies within the Balfour Beatty CSUK group. This has involved data extractions and transformations from a number of different ERP, HR and other associated systems to load into and facilitate a single Oracle R12 group wide solution.
