As Director of Production, my primary responsibilities include establishing production calendars, determining budget assignments, securing the services of artistic and production personnel, facilitating communication between artistic and production team members, facilitating the fulfillment of production needs, and overseeing all production processes for four mains stage theatrical productions, and four mainstage dance concerts. As Technical Director, my primary responsibilities include estimating, engineering, drafting, and facilitating the construction of all scenic elements for four main stage productions; supervising and instructing stagecraft students, work-study employees, and practicum students during the scenic production process; overseeing student efforts in second stage productions; preparing the stage for dance concerts; and assigning practicum, laboratory and volunteer students to technical run crew positions for all mainstage and dance productions. Additional responsibilities include managing and maintaining the scenic production laboratory; mentoring students; participating in artistic and production meetings; and supervising the technical rehearsal process. As the Technical Director, I was responsible for budgeting, engineering, drafting, and facilitating the construction of all scenic elements; organizing, facilitating, and supervising all lighting and sound calls; supervising work-study employees, practicum students, program interns, and production classes in all tasks of production activity; management and supervision of the scenic studio; and management of the Comley-Lane Theatre, a 490 seat proscenium theatre.
