I am a qualified freelance translator and interpreter. Italian, English and Maltese are my working languages. I am a Masters graduate in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Malta. I have extensive experience in translating and interpreting for a number of local agencies. My translating experience covers a number of themes which include legal and financial.Being a teacher by profession following my first degree I taught Italian in a Secondary School for eight years.I also have an experience in management having worked for five years as Manager/Team Leader in the Aftersales/Customer Care Department at Vivendo Group namely Ideacasa, one of the leading furniture retail companies in Malta. In this role I managed a team of people and collaborated with other departments to establish practices that ensured customer satisfaction, quality of product and work practices as well as cost reduction.I also have an extensive experience in sports management as I was club president of San Giljan ASC (Waterpolo Club) for nine years helping this historically established Club to re-establish itself amongst the country's leading clubs having taken the Club from a second division position. In this role I also revamped the Club's junior sector.Since 2012 I have been working at the European Union Programmes Agency (EUPA) and since November 2016 within the same Agency, I have been heading the Adult and VET Unit. In my role of Programme Manager I manage a unit that supports entities in these two fields to avail themselves efficiently of funding under the Erasmus+ programme supported by the European Commission.
