I started work in the Bus Industry in 1989 as a Driver for Ribble Motor Services at Bolton Depot.When Stagecoach took over the business I became a Trade Union representative for Rostering working closely with the Schedule and Planning Manager, I developed an interest in the scheduling side and consequently attended a Scheduling course in Manchester. When the depot was acquired by Blazefield and later sold to Blue Bus I was asked to transfer to Blackburn where I was offered the roll of Commercial Assistant which involved learning fares implementation on the ERG ticketing system. When the ENCTS went smart the company opted for the Wayfarer TGX150 ticketing solution to which I had full involvement. I was transferred to Burnley Depot as a more central location and became responsible for all Wayfarer systems in Lancashire. The Yorkshire operation of Blazefield became part of my remit when the depots upgraded to the Way200 ticketing system. I am fully versed in both ticketing systems and relative smart capability; I am also knowledgeable of BSOG, Local Authority Invoicing and concessionary reimbursement. I have some knowledge of the Omibus System and Destination blinds, both Hanover and Mobitec, I am a hard working, reliable individual who loves a challenge and just gets on with the job in hand.
