Worked on a team to develop the front end and middle tier for the customer payment part of a new application accepting credit card and automated clearing house methods of payment using REST, Java, and Node/Typescript. Debugged and fixed problems with transactions (Invoice, Sales Orders, and Payments) caused by changes to the core code by other teams. Implemented loading of XLIFF (XML Localization Interchange File Format) files for our Content Management System (CMS). Worked with another team to implement internationalization of our CMS application.

Created two single page apps using Node, rest, mysql, javascript, jQuery, jstree, mapbox-gl, open street map, jQuery plugins: validate, ui, contextmenu, and datatables. Most of what I have done has been on the front end but I have added a table or two and the code to get the information to the client.This position has been a very new experience for me. I've done some javascript and jQuery before (autocomplete drop downs, date pickers, etc) but this has been a lot of fun. I laugh now at how excited I was when I discovered jQuery's $when/$then so I could make multiple rest calls (4-15) for data at the same time and then just let the $then handle the results when they were all done.Mapbox with OpenStreetMap is really pretty nice for vector maps. I had never done anything with maps before and it was so easy to get something up and running.Created Sharepoint Workflows to manage approvals for packages of multiple documents.Creating spreadsheet using Java with charts to show MTBF and Opeational Availablilty using POI and JFreeChart. Starting on third single page Node.js application to do the same as the spreadsheet.

Lead on Rent rewrite using Struts, Spring, Hibernate, MQ, jquery, and ajax. Wrote a few Jax-WS web services for updating and closing rental agreements. Upgraded all Tas applications to Spring 4 (from 2.0.8) and Hibernate 4 (from 3.2.1). Developed Java applet to replace an executable that communicates with credit card readers. Wrote tool to download and scan production log files using Groovy. Converted one of our applications to run in any browser. Wrote Tas Rates Calculator and Tas Rate Engine interface. Made several pages on our wiki that show how to use Netbeans, git using Netbeans and Eclipse, sign jars, a web service I wrote, and several other subjects.
