My equipment responsibilities were 1. Support for all the equipment owned and operated by Subsea 7 in the Gulf of Mexico. This covered from their Dynamically Positioned construction vessels and Lay & Trench equipment to their ROVs (remotely operated vehicles). 2. I had control over the regional equipment budget and was responsible for the maintenance and provision of equipment and personnel services to their operations. 3. I ensured compliance with all local legislative requirements onshore / offshore and Subsea 7 procedures within their global business management system. Subsea 7 has a high standard of HSEQ in the company which has contributed to their success with their clients. The level of Safety Management and Safety Leadership training is very high to professionally manage the company and their client’s risk. My facility responsibilities were For the maintenance, procurement & logistics support base in Belle Chasse. This is a 14 acre site where we repaired, maintained and prepared our equipment for offshore. I had responsibility for the personnel, operations and the facility. OSHA and EPA compliance were every day requirements on site and we were audited on an annual basis to ensure compliance.I was responsible for the Permit to Work system on site and manage the Task Risk Assessment (TRA) requirements of our personnel for all work on the facility. I managed the rebuild of the facility after Katrina and the management of the many external contractors on site during this period.
