I am recently retired and would be keen to give presentations and talks and facilitate discussion on matters related to World Religions (especially Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism) and contemporary issues, Biblical Studies, Moral/Ethical Issues, Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Religion. I have taught all these topics, (many to Sixth Form level), as well as Sixth Form General Studies courses on Biblical Hebrew, How the Bible Came to Be, Science and Religion, Citizenship, Radical Theology and New Religious Movements. I have organised inhouse Sixth Form conferences on Belief in God in the Modern World, the Arab/Israeli Conflict and Religion in the Modern World. I have a Christian and Anglican background but I am liberal in my views and open to dialogue with others whatever their beliefs. The framework for my thinking at the moment is that of a 'Sea of Faith' approach like that of Don Cupitt and Anthony Freeman, although I am not dogmatic in this and respect any beliefs held sincerely, thoughtfully and caringly.I am married with four grown up sons. For some years I helped to lead the 'Faith & Ministry' course in the Rochester Diocese for those becoming Readers in the CoE and recently contributed to seminars on general ethics and on ethics and economics in a series about 'Spirituality & the Workplace' run by hospital chaplain Rev. Pam Beckinsale.I am eager to share my knowledge, understanding and experience. The target audience would be older teenagers to adults in church groups, groups in other religious communities, humanist groups, college courses, clubs - like Rotary, University for the Third Age and any other interested parties or discussion groups. I have no particular agenda or message, just a desire to pass on what I have learned in over 40 years of study and 36 years teaching. I am not necessarily interested in payment but simply wish to serve the community in the way I can.
