Advance Mechanical Engineer
Responsible for the introduction of new product into Johnson Controls, including new laser welding technology. Also for the sourcing and the approval of equipment design, the buy off and introduction of the equipment into the plant. This involved project managing the machine builds at suppliers based both in the UK and abroad. I was also responsible for the layout of the production cells within the plant ensuring that lean principals were used to make it as efficient as possible. I also organised the installation and commissioning of all the equipment within the plant. Responsible for the writing of process flows and PFMEA's as well as operator instructions for all processes. Now responsible for engineering support for all Toyota projects within plant.
