My job has me working on the Gamble II, Hawk, HRS, Mercury and the Rail Gun Auto Loader. I am tasked with keeping all vacuum equipment running, cleaning the units between shots, and whatever maintenance that needs to be done. I do machining on parts when they need to be modified. Keep all areas cleaned and organized.

Working on the Orion High Power Microwave project. My task has been to bring this old test platform back to working order. This involved cleaning the magnetron, cathode and waveguides. Rebuilding Cryo Pumps and servicing Turbo and Rotary vane pumps. Using a crane to move the magnetron and Cryo Magnets on to the platform and pulling a vacuum. Reported directly to the High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse (H.E.M.P) Supervisor. Assisted with mobilization, test setup, and data logging. Design support equipment to improve testing methodology. Responsible for equipment maintenance and organization. Performed Pulse Current Injection (PCI) testing on filters and Environmental Control Units (ECU). Collaborate with the High Power Microwave group about tubes and design features. Traveled to various test sites in the US and Europe.

Worked on the HGM 2,000, 3,000, and 10,000 Hydrogen production units. Also worked on the MARS and Tasnee gas purification, Water cabinets, as well as the PSA systems that are used in all of the above units. Spent time in the machine shop and worked on the reactors for the Hydrogen production units.

Managed the testing of the DO2 switches and maintaining and repairing the charging system. Worked at GRS to set up vacuum system and complete electrical wiring. Repaired and trouble shot the mass spectrometer apparatus on loan from the government.

Organized the lab to maximize efficient usage of space. Assisted with the writing of the lab rules. Organized the chemical cabinets and labeled chemicals with a SAIC Hazmat control number. Maintained the MSDS for the chemicals. Maintained files on equipment and calibration and certification data.

Was also responsible for the initial training of production personnel and follow-up troubleshooting for klystrons.
