The youngest memory I have of assisting someone in a meaningful way was at school in first grade. A lunch bell sounded and a sea of students rushed into the school. A young boy next to me fell to the floor and was being trampled. I managed, against a tide of humanity, to bring him to his feet and out of harms way. I have been on a path of caring for others ever since.Personally I have been a companion for many of my aging relatives, giving them all levels of assistance,always with compassion, humor and respect. Professionally I have delivered oxygen to seniors, have worked in long term care facilities and am currently employed at a group home working with a team of caregivers overseeing the care of 3 adorable young autistic men on the far end of the spectrum.On my journey to help others I have poured my heart and soul into my work.
