• Recovery status at six months:
• Reduced the overall COPQ 45% and the facility is now on target to meet the plant’s goal of 1% of overall sales.
• Developed a robust problem solving and corrective action process that eliminated systemic quality issues.
• KBM trends show profitability and customer expectation fulfillment are positively increasing for the first quarter of 2011
• Drove the quality department to work with various manufacturing groups within the organization to problem-solve internal and external quality issues. Using factual data the problem-solving groups accurately identify.
• Streamlined the current material analysis process to support the customer’s critical material requirements. After revisions were made, the team was able to perform each material test on the hot stamping material in 30%.

• Oversaw a department of six salaried employees consisting of quality engineers, supplier quality engineer, CMM operators and a CMM programmer,
• Responsible for monitoring monthly score card ratings from each individual customer, largest being Chrysler and Mercedes-USA.
• Re-established broken relations with certain critical customers by following through with all defined commitments and developing excellent communications with improving the reaction time when issues present themselves.
• Develop each trouble supplier to deliver quality products on-time by conducting on-site audits and establish systems metrics to track performances.
• Maintain the current quality systems so that the system stays in compliant with all TS-16949 and ISO-14001 guidelines.
• Improved on the Quality Management System along with defining all company performance metrics so internal and external expectations are achieved. (QMS) metrics are reported out to upper management monthly to drive.

US

Quality Manager for an automotive sheet metal supplier. Main customer base was Ford, GM and North American brose. I was recruited into the organization to regain Ford's Q1 status, improve on all company metrics with a focus on reducing the large cost of poor quality and re-establish broken customer relations.

Lead all APQP/PPAP activities between the manufacturing plant and the Corporate Structure. Interfaced with multiple customer groups to ensure all Launch activities exceeded each customer's expectation. Directly interfaced with each customer assembly plant when quality issues were identified to set-up containment, problem-solve and close out each quality.

Supported all quality related functions at a plant level (ei: APQP/PPAP, customer complaint resolution, floor inspections/standard work instructions, error-proofing verifications processes, supplier improvement and containment).
