After graduating college, I worked for a management company for a few years and found that sitting behind a desk pushing a pencil was not where I would find happiness. I changed jobs and careers with an Architectual firm In Boston where I could again be "hands on", and build residential structures with an artistic flair for high end clients that desired dramatic interiors.This led to various construction projects from the state of Maine to the Carolinas, and there was no going back. I had inadvertently clicked my heels and found the Lake Norman area outside of Charlotte.I started International Kitchen and Bath in 1989, a name which was to describe all of the styles we could produce. I never imagined that it would become a true moniker as we traveled to Cuernavaca and Acapulco, Mexico for award winning projects and personal residences. It was an education and experience I will forever be thankful for. Learning to design, draw and communicate in Spanish with the metric system on wild west construction sites is not for the faint of heart, and it has served me well in this up and down business.
