• Review investigational National Security files from regional Departmental Security Sections to issue security guidance, deny, restrict, suspend, revoke or reinstate security statuses/clearances.• Analyse data and reports regarding candidates or existing RCMP employees, family members, friends and associates for dishonesty, financial difficulties, misconduct, criminality, corruption, or criminal affiliation. Provide assessment of the risks, and subsequent plan to address these risks.• Develop policy and provide strategic advice to deal with the RCMP’s security mandate priorities.• Consult with other RCMP units and/or government partners to foster policy coherence and to develop new protocols, departmental security awareness, engagement strategies and partnerships.• Conduct National Security Risk Category and Insider Threat identification and assessment training.• Provide security and risk assessment guidance to security personnel and internal clients such as RCMP managers, recruiters on a wide range of personnel security screening matters.• Perform Quality Assurance assessments, prepare reports, analyses, briefings, and presentations.• Revise Insider Threat and Personnel Security screening related policies, procedures and activities.

- Research/analyze workforce issues and trends in HR that impact the RCMP & IMEB.- Establish HR objectives to meet long term organizational goals to combat market fraud including such aspects as career paths, succession planning, recruiting, and retention.- Advise HR service providers on planning strategies, objectives, programs and directives for the attraction, recruiting and development of potential Financial Crime employees. This includes development of Organization Charts, inclusive of considerations for succession planning and for the sustainable longer term retention of employees.
