CurrentProvide technical assistance to the Project / Process Engineers.Insure continued operation of existing equipment.Promote & develop sound operating techniques.Design improvements into existing production equipment.Supervise the installation and start-up of new production equipment.Provide technical advice & assistance to production personnel when they are unable to solve a process problem.Provide technical advice & assistance to maintenance personnel when they have completely exhausted their means to solve a process problem.Design intricate mechanical equipment & simple electrical control circuits.Determine the total cost of engineering projects by estimating the cost of the details involved in the project.Coordinate the fabrication and / or installation of equipment & report plans of action to Project Engineers before the work is started.Observe process conditions in assigned production areas and report all abnormalities to the Production Supervisor and the Process Engineer.Translate design ideas into workable drawings, working from verbal information and / or sketches.Provide technical advice & information for Sales & Production Control.Analyze process problems during start-up of new equipment, and resolve these problems through redesign or machine modifications.Discuss production problems with production and maintenance personnel and recommend on the spot plan of action.Determine cost savings obtainable on cost reduction projects.Provide technical assistance to lower level Technicians.Provide training for production & maintenance personnel.Write purchase orders for all new equipment purchased by the Project / Process Engineer.
