This home represented the very best that was avaiable to the people of Christchurch back in 1991. I couldn't believe that this was the best they had to offer and felt so sorry for the people of Christchurch. On that day I decided that I needed to set up a building company so i could provide modern open plan designs at an affordable price. Within 2 years we were building more homes in the mid-price range than any other canterbury builder. I look back on those years now and wonder how we did what we did so quickly and realise that even back then if you genuinely want to and enjoy helping people to get the things they wanted your success will follow.

They were picking up waterfront blocks for around $50,000 (Those were the days) sounds very cheap today but it was still only the wealthy people that could afford to buy them. No diffrent from today. (good stuff that property)I was taught my carpentry skills by an amazing and mathodical builder by the name of Brian Randsom, he was a great teacher and a friend. We worked together for many years and he had me working bloody hard to live up to his very heigh expectations. These were great days, night clubbing, 2-3 nights a week and working 5 and a-half days if the hangover wasn't too bad on a Saturday morning.
