An early background and training in accountancy was followed by a 35 year career as an institutional global financial markets broker in London, working for various international brokerage firms and investment banks, culminating in a 10 year role managing sales on a 24 hour foreign exchange desk for the brokerage arm of a large French bank. In 2005 he married Bronwyn, who he met two years earlier in London and is now has NZ citizenship, enjoying a far less stressful lifestyle in the sunny Hawke’s Bay, whilst still busy with regular and varied accounting, marketing, advertising and promotional contract assignments along with his various board roles.
