Joined Autoclimate as Sales Manager as they had the need to divesify from aftermarket AC installation which was the main activity of the company, as AC was now becoming a standard fitment in passenger cars. The decision was taken to expand into the sales and support of the AC service industry. My task was to research the equipment suppliers and develop good working relationships. Once the right products were sourced and support mechanisms in place, the need to raise the awareness within industry by developing relationships with vehicle manufacturers training colleges and dealer groups to gain recognition and approvals. As the independant sector and bodyshop AC involvement in AC grew, I recognised the need for technical training and aftersales support, this was intially implented by using outsourced training which we later brought in house along with a technical services team. I was responsible for all dealings with manufacturers and suppliers right through to the end customer. Introduced the Robinair brand to Autoclimate in 1995 as they had never been involved in supplying service equipment. I then liased with OEMs for approvals, which was very successful taking into the dealer groups and the wider market. Building on top of this the realisation that consumables was another area unexplored, meetings with ICI(Ineous) for direct supply of R134a and lubricants were negotiated and agreed.

Responsible for developing the fitment of AC into the passenger car market through 180 dealers nationally. Involved in all aspects including technical, marketing and customer relations.
