Management Systems: establish and implement IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (Automotive), ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System, achieve and maintain 3rd party certification body accreditations; lead annual internal audit and external (3rd party registrar and customer audits) audit activities.Automotive Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance: main quality contact of OEM/automotive customers (Subaru, Honda, Hyundai/Mobis, Mazda, General Motors, Stellantis/MOPAR, Ford, and etc.), lead APQP/PPAP in new product development (Design FMEA, Process FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement Systems Analysis, Process Capability Studies...), customer scorecards communication and response, as well as supplier component evaluation and approval. Senior Quality Engineer at Thule Group North America, Seymour, CT USA:Lead ISO 9001 and TS 16949 automotive quality management system set up and certification by 3rd party certification body. Create document control system and training of all Thule North America sites. Internal audit planning and implementation, QMS issue corrective actionsMain quality contact of OEM customers, customer PPAP submission and quality issue investigation. Supplier PPAP and material compliance review.

Supplier Quality Engineering: Select and qualify new suppliers to fulfil Thule Group's Asia Pacific Sourcing activities, coordinate between Thule engineering teams in Europe, US, and Asian suppliers, perform first piece review and monitor supplier APQP/PPAP process. Supplier quality base development in compliance with TS 16949 automotive industry quality standard, lead trouble-shooting and corrective/preventive actions. Main contact of Quality issues, as well as 3rd party audit and/or customer audit within Asia Pacific Sourcing team. Supplier shipment inspection, gage/fixture control, and create test plan/inspection criteria for supplier QC personnel.

Supplier Quality Engineering:New supplier selection and onboarding assessment in compliance with Cooper Industries Division requirements, New Product Development with approved suppliers and lead PPAP creating and approval. daily supplier IQC metrics tracking, and supplier base development, annual process audit, occasional shipment inspection at supplier's manufacturing sites. Responsible division/product includes: Lighting, frame proofing security system, Power System, airport lighting, hand tools, power tools, wiring devices, and etc.

Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing: Fully trained of Six Sigma Black Belt through DMAIC methodology, lead Six Sigma projects and follow up with team: completed projects include: Motorola/Nortel product field return/ RMA analysis cycle time reduction, SMT/soldering process optimization and etc.. (total realized saving over USD $1 million annually), report and coordinate with Flextronics multiple sites in Asia for cross benchmarking. Green Belt selection and training, oversee Green Belt projects and provide technical support. Supplier Quality Engineering: responsible for both Mechanical and Electrical parts supplier incoming quality, monitor PCBA, Assembly workshop material issues, lead material issue root cause analysis and corrective actions. Participate in new product introduction (NPI) of HP, Nortel, Nokia, Philips Automotive projects. Supplier onsite audit and assessment.

Process Quality Assurance: Production Quality monitoring of power supply products for Cisco, Apple, Inventec, HP, Motorola, and other customers. (SMT, PCBA, Assembly and testing), develop inspection standards and train QC inspectors, report quality issues to internal team, participate in weekly project meeting and customer / field issue review meeting. Work with Process Engineer in top issues root cause analysis (internal production issues and customer complaints), lead corrective/preventive actions. Provide material failure information to IQC / Purchasing and follow up.
