Helping SRHC become the "Lean in Healthcare" leader in the central USA by providing the Perfect Patient Experience. Founded the Salina Regional Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) and Salina Regional Lean Academy. Developed a Lean in Healthcare Black Belt, Green Belt, and Yellow Belt program that is taught both internally and externally. LSS Deployment Advisor/MBB for the 5th Army (ARNORTH) and the 6th Army (USARSO) located at Ft Sam Houston, TX. Forces Command (FORSCOM) MBB. I provided LSS consulting and mentoring services to reduce risk and increase the likelihood of achieving significant results. I assisted the Army through the Deployment Director by coaching and mentoring a growing, engaged cadre of LSS executive leaders, project sponsors, process owners, and Green and Black Belts. I also provided direct subject matter expertise to support the development, use, and on going management of a validated LSS project pipeline.Deployed as Management Consultant for US Army Reserves HQ (USARC) and Human Resources Command (HRC) assisting them to efficiently and effectively combine staff resources.Worked with Comcast HQ in Philadelphia to help them identify and resolve issues having to do with their "movers" customer experience and associated processes.Helped deployment of new software for the Arizona Department of Economic Security.

The George Group provided Lean Six Sigma expertise to an extremely wide range of clients. I was able to work extensively with the Department of Defense before GG was swallowed up by Accenture.

Engineering Manager with a large staff of electrical and mechanical engineers responsible for improving the overall efficiency of the manufacturing effort. Office effectively implemented automation (advanced robotics, automated vehicles, and vision systems). Oversaw the activities of the IT department.Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Project Manager. Overall Project Manager for a $21.5M project involving design and installation of a new 200 tons per day glass making furnace, oxygen generating plant, static filter, batch house rebuild, stack rebuild, new tube drawing lines (vello method), and glass forming and handling cold end. Project was international in nature. Project came in on time and under budget. Integrated this project with a new Remote Guided Vehicle Forklift project that connected the glass plant to the manufacturing mainlines. The combination of these two projects made a dramatic contribution to cost reduction while maintaining industry benchmark quality.

Effectively led a team of mechanics and operators in manufacturing tens of thousands of fluorescent lamps per day. Main product was T12 and T8 lamps. Set team goals, held team meetings, etc.

This was a General Manager position where I was responsible for soup to nuts factory operation. Responsible for a $25M annual budget and the safety and welfare of 600 employees. The 480,000 sq ft factory was primarily responsible for manufacturing aircraft wings and other detailed assemblies. The factory also had a large plastics division (injection molded plastic and thermoset), extensive cables and hoses division, a paint shop, and electric harness assembly. Union environment. Plant was closed and outsourced and I jumped to a local company, Philips, to avoid yet another relo.

Program Manager for the MQM-107 "Streaker" Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Worked extensively with DoD in the timely delivery of this $24M contract. I also provided program management for many aspects of the Hawker 4000 ("Horizon") program development effort. Finally, I provided internal consultant services as a Program Manager in the Program Management Systems Division.

Provided oversight and leadership for an organization of over 1300 uniformed military and civilians. Responsible for successful operation of five squadrons (Morale Welfare and Recreation, Security Police, Consolidated Base Personnel Office, Data Automation, and Civil Engineering). Provided leadership for Operational Readiness Inspections (ORIs) and other deployments. Instructor level proficiency in Ability to Survive and Operate (ATSO) in Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) environments. Graduate, USAF Base Commander Course; Graduate, Senior Officer’s Nuclear Accident Course.I was also the Director of Safety for McConnell AFB. As Director, I had responsibility for the safety of over 10,000 active duty, retired, and dependents. With a staff of 10 people, I oversaw the Ground Safety, Explosives Safety, and Flight Safety Branches. During my tenure we saw a significant reduction in the rate of reportable accidents. Provided Red on Blue analysis for the Strategic Air Command (SAC) and led the effort to develop new weapons and tactics appropriate for long range strategic aircraft. Organization responsibilities closely paralleled those of DoD's Checkmate Division at the Pentagon. While at SAC HQ, I was also Chief of the B-1B Aircrew Continuation Training Branch.
