Electronics Engineering Technician
- Continuously evaluated all SOP’s and preventive maintenance procedures for accuracy and applicability, and submit appropriate change requests to correct any deficiencies discovered.- Assisted in the preparation and review of Advanced Planning and installation documentation for Maritime Electronic Warfare systems. Filled out and monitored Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAM) to ensure proper timely execution and completion. - Repaired and aligned a mobile electronic warfare test bed. Identified and repaired 36 individual faults. Completed repairs, calibration and alignments. System was 100% Operational 1 month ahead of schedule. Performed screening on Electronic Signals Processors. Verified and updated software and installed and ran specialized test procedures. Repaired failed parts to be placed back on the shelf to ensure availability for repair of EW systems in the fleet. Troubleshoot and repair all equipment, to include mechanical and electrical components- Managed 3 Sailors and 4 DOD Civilians. Tracked, reported and provided EW system support to 196 ships. Directly responsible for the procurement of $2.5 Million dollars in repair parts resulting in a 40% reduction in correction time for EW systems.- Screened AN/SLQ-32(V)4 System for a US Navy Aircraft Carrier. Completed test lab installation, troubleshot and repaired/replaced failed equipment. Performed and documented detailed analysis of test procedures. Fully prepared system for the upcoming installation 3 months ahead of schedule.- As Liaison to the US Navy, Assisted in scheduling and coordination of outside services for support of preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and installations of mechanical and electrical equipment.
