Identified acquisition opportunities, designed the deal-sourcing process, led market research, and liaised with the financial sponsor, executive board, and management team. • Identified, prepared, and oversaw a pipeline of 150 acquisition target opportunities, filtering down to dialogue with 60 company owners, led due diligence on 12 companies, and closed on six acquisitions during tenure• Directed the acquisition team, quarterbacking accountants, lawyers, background check firms, environmental consultants, IT and HR leadership, and the Controller on multiple transactions • Led the add-on acquisitions of waterworks distributors H.R. Strategic leader for the private equity arm of Hick’s office, identifying, negotiating, and executing transactions for potential beverage investments around the US. Oversaw every aspect of the deal and supported and led the acquired business CEO to make difficult and exciting decisions for the company. Among many, four key deals included:• Great Point Brands Holding: Built platform for a $30M better-for-you beverage brand holding company, to bring three acquired beverage brands together (Drink Daily Greens, Cuvée Coffee, and LIVE Soda) under one organization, improving profitability, sourcing, shipping, FDA labeling requirements, and channel partner retailer revenue• Anvita Health: Key deal team member for a healthcare tech startup in search of a market; co-led management team to improve performance, and position company for profitable exit; negotiated, and closed $170M sale to Humana, generating ~7x cash-on-cash return • Ocular LCD: Co-led numerous equity cure investments to resolve technical default with lenders, workout process, and debt buyback at a significant discount to the company; managed Chapter 7 process with a court-appointed trustee• Latrobe Specialty Steel: The 2009 recession reduced EBITDA by 90+%, causing the company to violate its debt covenants; worked with CFO to build a 13-week cash flow model; managed banking and lender relationships, and implemented key initiatives to help the newly recruited CEO take the reins of the company; within 18 months the company was acquired by Carpenter Technologies for $600M, delivering a ~10x cash-on-cash return to investors• Held Principal role from 2016 – 2018; VP of company role from 2011 – 2016; initially hired as Associate from 2008 – 2011
