Following the successful acquisition of the Nanotech Semiconductor business by Gennum Products. Overseeing the daily management of the R&D centre whilst continuing to maintain responsibility for Supply Chain management, Product Engineering, Test Development, Evaluation and Charactersation engineering of all Bristol designed Gennum Optical Products.

Responsible for Supply Chain management, Production Test Development, Health and safety, Evaluation and Charactersation of new products and Quality. Working from scratch implemented complete quality system - achieved ISO9001 certification, developed and built direct partnerships with the top wafer foundries, assembly and test houses. Took the business from producing thousands to volumes in the tens of millions and into successful acquisition.

Responsible for Test, Evaluation, Prod Eng, Characterisation, QA & SCM.Defining the company's ATE strategy, assembly and test house partnership and creating a world class evaluation and test team.Working with leading OSAT in the development of a flip-chip package for a 10Gbps mixed signal EDC IC.Creating the companies NPI process and securing ISO9001 accreditation.

Responsible for QA, Test, Charactersation and Product Engineering - initially also responsible for SCM. Took the company from an IC design capability into a volume producer of IC's. Introducing all the relevant processes & procedures plus recruiting a back-end team from scratch. Responsible for technicians supporting the final test process. Specific responsibility for Linear and Telecom IC's. Debug and modification of test programs, failure, yield analysis, cost and throughput improvement.
