The McGrath Group is a privately owned property and investment group. We have been in existence since the early 1980’s. with interests in Germany, Hungary,UK and Ireland.The Group Financial Controller has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, forecasting, strategic planning, property management, investor relationships and private financing.Responsibilities include:• Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and cash forecasts to Executive Management.• Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. • Management and supervision of third parties to which functions have been outsourced• Monitor cash balances and ensure that the terms of Investor Covenants are being adhered to. • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

My primary responsibilities were audits of both large and medium sized companies.I lead engagement teams on the audits of companies and groups in a wide range of industry sectors. My role was to oversee and manage the smooth running of each audit. This included assigning work to junior members of the engagement team, overseeing their work while also performing many of the audit procedures, particularly on the more risky elements of each assignment.I worked on numerous compliance audits for clients regulated by the Financial Regulator. Such clients include credit unions and Insurance companies. Subsequent to performing the audit field work I compiled the report, along with our findings, for submission to the financial regulator.I have prepared the Corporation Tax computation for each client I have audited, liaised with the tax department during final review and finally submitted each return to the inspector of taxes.I have prepared consolidated accounts for each of the group audits I was involved in. I have worked diligently to ensure that all the audits I was involved in were delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality.
