As Interactive Practice Head, I am responsible for all UI and mobile engineering across our teams globally, with staff in New York, Washington D. C., London, Sydney, Budapest and Noida. I work with our engineers to align training, career growth, skill development, and more to business objectives.The Interactive Practice is "everything you can see on a screen", and because our engineering work is manifested in visual form, we collaborate very closely with design and product teams.I encourage engineers within the Interactive Practice to not only become experts in UI and mobile engineering techniques, but to broaden their skillsets across product and design practices. In order to deliver beautiful, performant user experiences, we must understand user objectives, user journeys, and how those are aligned to our clients business goals.Additionally, I am deeply involved in sales across the globe, and contribute my experience and perspective to communicate to clients our capabilities, approach, and engineering philosophy. I help our sales teams close deals, prepare pitches and presentations, communicate directly with prospective clients, and monitor and supervise projects while they are in progress.

Giant Machines was a full stack consulting company that designs and builds custom software for the finance industry. While at Giant Machines, I lead the engineering team across dozens of projects for a multitude of clients. Projects included everything from trading platforms, to workflow optimization tools, to consumer facing productivity tools. I have also led many individual projects to success, utilizing my deep consulting experience and client management skills. Accomplishments include: · Scaled the engineering team from 4 engineers to 30. · Lead the entire engineering team, across multiple engineering disciplines, projects, and initiatives. · Handled client management for projects, from two engineer engagements all the way up to ten person cross functional teams. · Created and managed career growth and advancement plans for engineering. · Contributed to sales efforts, including early stage meetings with prospective clients, presenting our work, philosophy, and explaining how we could best address client needs. · Set technology standards across the organization, including writing documentation, creating template applications, creating an engineering playbook, and communicating those standards to the team through mentoring, written communication, and building products.Giant Machines was acquired by Deloitte in 2024.

nbsp was my consulting company, which I created and operated as a sole proprietor before joining Giant Machines.While running nbsp, I was consulted with a number of companies in the media, design, and finance spaces. I collaborated with leadership, product, design, and engineering teams to develop exciting digital experiences and properties.On every project, I was able to contribute my unique viewpoint and utilize my varied skillsets, including user experience design, visual design, frontend engineering, backend engineering, team management, project management and more.Clients included 2U, Jane Creative, Thomson Reuters, Adobe, Red Antler, B-Reel, and Big Spaceship.

At WBR I was able to design and develop websites, marketing collateral, internal development tools, and customer facing surveys, conference swag, and physical conference material.In addition to the primary responsibilities of designing and developing conference websites, I was able to create a suite of internal tools to streamline content generation for conference websites. While the majority of the workflow was based on printed material, email, and phone calls, I developed tools allowing conference producers to submit content into a customized web-based application. The application would then generate HTML and CSS assets ready to be migrated to the CMS used by WBR, Ektron.
