I have been a sustainable design manager over my 9 year career with HKS and was one of the originators of HKS DesignGreen sustainable studio within HKS. My experience encompasses a wide range of architectural projects from residential facilities to professional sports stadiums located throughout the United States and internationally. I am responsible for directing project design teams in regards to the implementation of sustainable design strategies. These project responsibilities often include managing and administering project-specific documentation for LEED and other sustainable rating systems and assisting design teams with early environmental and energy analysis. My efforts provide design teams early Energy Use Intensity (EUI) and Lighting Power Density (LPD) targets for projects. In addition to these project responsibilities, I also lead the task of tracking and reporting HKS projects for the Architecture 2030 Challenge and for Design to Earn Energy Star. NEW Role: My current roll within HKS is now in Construction Services. I decided to take the experience I gained in my 9 years of sustainability work and focus it on the processes of construction, as a Construction Administrator. This new role offers me a greater chance to be hands on with the construction team to ensure projects implement sustainability to the greatest extent.
