• Responsible for managing complex categories in relation to inventory management, quality management, PO placement, and providing local market intelligence to the planning organization.• Train and support the merchandising functions assortment and demand changes with appropriate forecast management.• Take strategic action to maintain local inventory levels while maximizing customer service levels• Work with logistics team to maximize supply chain efficiencies• Execute purchasing of new items and demand changes timely for customer events, business shifts, and seasonality changes• Manage Inventory DSO, aged inventory, obsolete inventory, and discontinued items to achieve corporate goals• Manage forecasts, demand planning, and understanding commodity purchasing• Manage to reduce spoilage and shrink inventory• Responsible for minimum 2300 lines; maximum up to 3500 lines, based on the categories on the desk.

• Relies on out of stock report, less than 7 day report, buyer priority list (trucks making appointments etc), cost report, and many more• Accounts for the buying of assigned products, special orders and product forecasting/allocation. • Responsible for keeping acceptable inventory levels for up to 100 vendors with a number of skus (1500 skus appr) (line items) keeping merchandise replenish, and ensures acceptable safety stock on every item. Responsible for out of stocks. • Daily Cheese/Frozen Commodity Buying based on market/guidance.• Everyday orders based on major forecasting/seasonality from: holidays, schools/colleges, special events, emergencies, day-to day ordering/usage.• Emergency/drop ship PO’s for customers as needed to ensure/eliminate out of stocks, loss of sales• Ensures through communication with the vendor that purchase orders flows timely; ensures acceptable delivery/pickup times based on the lead time the vendor requires after each order submitted• Responsible for troubleshooting issues and overall once the purchase order is placed to the vendor and until the order has been received to the dock from: pricing, shortages, overages, mishaps, damages, expired products, returns, order shipment errors. Ensure PO’s are confirmed correctly through quantity, price and freight• Communication with other departments such as sales, operations, accounting as well as constant/daily communication with marketing associates (salesman), vendors, and district sales managers as well as the corporate office.

• Maintains “ACE Hardware” account; company’s 3rd largest account through the “JDA” ordering system and handle customer inquiries/buying domestic/direct import • Issues purchase and assembly orders with confirmation of orders• Expedite production completion• Interacts with suppliers on past due orders, order confirmations, price discrepancies, quality issues and returns• Responsible for forecast management for plumbing products

• Responsible for accounts for buying assigned products, working bids, special orders and products forecasting/allocation• Responsible for keeping acceptable inventory levels for up to 60 vendors and up to 1500 line items, keeping merchandise replenished and ensure safety of stock• Daily Cheese/Frozen/Frozen Poultry Commodity Buying based on market/guidance• Ensure fresh dates and proper rotation, keeps eye on excess inventory-slow movement buildup• Communicate with vendors about orders flows timely; ensures acceptable delivery/pickup times based on the lead time the vendor requires after each order submitted• Negotiate product pricing with vendors/brokers• Submitted purchase order to the vendor, and making sure that the purchase order is delivered/picked up, makes sure each order has a scheduled appointment to be received• Troubleshooting purchase issues such as pricing, shortages, overages, mishaps, damages, expired products, returns and shipment errors• Consistent with various department sales, operations, accounting and communication with vendors, district managers and corporate office• Placed orders daily based on major forecasting/seasonality from various schedules
