Project 1 – Device Fingerprinting • Developed a working algorithm for device fingerprinting, creating a unique ID that links together HTTP cookies assigned to the same device and browser at different points in time• Trained and validated the performance of the model using the Nielsen Online Panel as the truth set, garnering a 95% precision on the test setProject 2 – Nielsen AI – Online Learning Models• Created an automated process that pulls data from a SQL database, and then displays the model status, volume, and other relevant information for all existing online learning models in an easily digestible manner• Compared model performances with various hyperparameter settings, and helped set guidelines for default hyperparameters when new online learning models get deployed• Conducted miscellaneous research on the data quality, time to deployment, and anomaly detection algorithm, using tens of thousands of features and hundreds of millions of user objects• Used EC2 instances and EMR clusters to run the analysis, and provided through reports on the resultsProject 3 – Modeled Audiences Extension and International Deployment • Assisted in building and scaling out client facing models from various data sources on a weekly cadence• Used machine learning classification and clustering techniques, such as linear regression, multinomial regression, nearest neighbors, and random forests to build those models• Modified the ETL pipeline and LaTeX reporting tools, using a hybrid of R and Python, to successfully support the deployment of models from international clients• Launched EC2 instances from an Amazon Machine Image in AWS to run the modeling pipeline, and saved the model outputs and reports onto an S3 bucket
