About Brian Yovanov

Starting a new path for the next year or so as a stay at home dad. With 20 years of combined government work in the Army and CBP, I learned we never get time back. I worked to build and enhance leadership and mentorship skills in my years. Being a strong leader with compassion, knowing that everyone can be a part of the team if we observe, analyze, and act on those individuals skills. Knowing your people strengths and weaknesses and allowing them to be their best and correcting quickly when needed. Serving as the Chief of Staff for the Area Port of Blaine was challenging in placing this into effect across a wide area and working to remove old ways of though and building a new brand for our Area Port. Achievements were made, setbacks were encountered but we always moved forward with our mission and took care of our people.
