In addition, I got to learn the basics of the Estimating process and the other facets of a project from inception to completion. These included: Creating the PowerPoint Presentations used at the monthly meetings of the Historical and Cultural Landmarks Commission, Preforming research to improve upon the city's Historical Guidelines, accompanying planners on regular site visits to the homes of people living in historical districts to address any issues and concerns and ensure houses met with with current historical guidelines… Show more As an intern with the Historical and Cultrual Landmarks Commission, I had a variety of tasks. These included: Creating the PowerPoint Presentations used at the monthly meetings of the Historical and Cultural Landmarks Commission, Preforming research to improve upon the city's Historical Guidelines, accompanying planners on regular site visits to the homes of people living in historical districts to address any issues and concerns and ensure houses met with with current historical guidelines, organizing important papers and photos for both paper and digital versions of files of homes in the historical districts, observing people's walking patterns and other habits in particular areas of Downtown Fort Worth in order to assess how to improve the walk-ability of those areas and how to attract more people to spend time in these areas.
